15 Daily Habits That Can Change Your Life

I thought I should start this blog by sharing 15 habits that I am using to change my life. Habits can be difficult to form at first, but once they are there, they can improve your life tremendously. I wanted to share them with you, with the hope that some just may inspire you to change your life.

Get up early – getting up early is a great way to have a head start, clear your thoughts and just get organized for the day. Focus on something positive, and watch how calm and happy throughout the day you are.

Do some exercise – before I hear you groaning, it does not have to be a major trip to the gym. It can be something small like taking a walk or spending a few minutes on the bike, but it will make a big difference. This eliminates postponing the exercise for other days, because you can do it that day. Believe you me, it feels great!

Plan your day – decide what you want to accomplish for that day. Put it down on paper and focus on getting it done.

Have a to do list – this will help you zoom in on important things that need to be done, and you will be able to accomplish more.

Read or listen to something motivational – nobody knows what the day is going to bring, however, you can get inspired and motivated to perform the very best that you can.

Put some effort when you dress up – It is true that when you look good you feel good. So make sure that you are looking fly when you leave the house.

Watch the news – I think it is important to know what is happening around you and around the world at large. It can be embarrassing to listen to people talking about something they saw on the news, and you have no clue what its about.

If you have to snack, snack healthily – the chocolates, chips, sweets and coldrinks can feel like great snacks, but they are really not. Try trading these for fruits and vegetables. If you have to drink something, water and 100% fruit juice are better options.

Hola at a friend – this is good if you want to stay in touch and make your friends feel like you still care about them. A quick sms, whatsapp msg or BBM msg or email is a quick way to keep in touch, and it is very effective.

Get into the habit of tidying up – a clean house will make you happier, because when your living space is clean and organized, you too will feel more in control.

Make time for your loved ones – the people in your life need to know that they are important to you, and one of the best ways to do this is to be available to spend time with them.

Say I love you to your loved ones – this is extremely important. Do not assume that they know, because when you say it, it confirms it that much more to them.

Sleep at a decent hour – your body will get the rest that it needs, and you will be able to wake up early the next morning.
