I am all about improving my life and helping you improve yours. In this post, I wanted to look at something that we can all do today to improve our lives. Long term is good, but sometimes it is beneficial if there are things you can do starting today that can shift the dynamic of your life.
How to Get More Out of your Day
Have a quiet time – this really does not require a huge amount of time. 10 minutes is enough, where you just spend some time alone to prepare for the day. I prefer to read a Bible or something spiritual or inspirational, but its up to you.
Read – Reading is a great way to get distracted from your own life and allows you to allow something else in your life. I get that some people are lazy to read, but just a page is enough for you to get something out of it.
Take a walk – whether its for fresh air, for relaxation or exercise, it is a great way to get out there. I am not sure why, but it is extremely refreshing and you will feel better.
Laugh – let it rip. laughter is a great way to get out of a stressed situation and feel great. Give yourself time to do, if that is nothing in your day, just look for laughter. Watch a funny program or read something funny and go for it.
Say I love you – the people in your life deserve to hear you say this to them, because it makes them feel so special. So make that call, it will make your loved ones day.
How to Get More Out of your Week
Unplug for a day – if you spend a lot of time online on the computer, I encourage you to switch it completely off for at least a day.
Experiment in your cooking – try out a new recipe and see how it all comes out. for one, it will be fun and you will learn how to do something new
Start a journal – I find this to be great outlet for me and the things that I want to do. It also allows you to get in touch with your feelings which can be awesome.
How to Get More Out of your Month
List your achievements – When you have short term goals and long term goals, there are bound to be some successes along the way. Every month, you should take some time to reflect on the month and celebrate those achievements. you will feel great and they will cheer you to keep going.
Do a thirty Day trial – this is an amazing way to start a new habit or if you want to start doing something and you finding it hard. Focus on it for 30 days and watch what you can achieve.
Find time for relaxation – It is extremely important to find time to relax and take some time out. If you are one of the folks that work on the weekend, make sure that you have at least one free weekend, to give your body the rest it needs.
Do something that you have an interest in – If its a sport that you want to get involved in or you are looking to learn a new skill, then I say go for it. You will be doing something you love and you will feel great for it.
