SuperSport United centre forward Jeremy Brockie and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams were the heroes of the night as they hoisted their teams to a comeback victory over University of Pretoria on Tuesday night. The win advances Matsatsantsa to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup series.

Pretoria held a commanding 3-1 lead late into the game, including a devastating own goal accidentally scored by SuperSport’s Grant Kekana. But a header from Jeremy Brockie landed in the net at 73’ and gave his team new energy. Morne Nel, substituted in during the second half, scored again for SuperSport and brought the game to a tie with just 6’ left in regular time.

Neither team was able to sink a shot during extra time, so we went to penalties. Ronwen Williams denied two shots from Pretoria’s kickers, allowing a goal once again from Jeremy Brockie to clinch the win and Supersport’s spot advancing in the tournament.
