Kaizer Chiefs Sign Chippa United Winger William Twala
Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Chippa United Winger William Twala on a two year deal. A statement on the Kaizer Chiefs official Twitter account confirmed the move. Twala was pictured with Chippa United Chairman Chippa Mpengesi and Bobby Motaung, Chief’s football manager, during the signing of the deal.
The news comes as a shock since Steve Komphela the coach of the Naturena based club had assured football fans that the January transfer window would not see much activity.
Two seasons ago, Twala played for Orlando Pirates but struggled to get into the first team eventually being sold to the Chilli Boys. Since then, the speedy 25 year old winger has added more guile to his game.
The Amakhosi have had to play Siphiwe Tshabalala on the right wing since Mandla Masango left the team. With two goals and two assists in four substitute appearances for Chippa this season, he is expected to add much needed balance to Kompela’s team.
The deal also saw Siboniseni Ngcobo sign on to Chippa from Chiefs on a six month contract.
