Longwe Twala has come out in public to say just how much he still struggles with Senzo Meyiwa’s death.
“I still think of about Senzo every morning, when I wake up. It’s not easy for me but I am fine. I have even dreamt about him,” he opened up to Sowetan.
Longwe, who’s dad is music legend Chicco Twala, was in the house when Senzo was gunned down and killed in Vosloorus. He says having to witness something so brutal has changed his life, he says the events of that night still play in his mind.
At least something good has come out of this tragic event for Longwe, because he has given his life to Christ. He says he finds comfort in going to church.
“Not that I was not going to church before, but I went to church last year in November. I told my pastor what had happened and he prayed for me once or twice. All I can say to people who go through what I went through be strong in God. They must pray, the greatest power is God’s power,” Longwe said.
What happened to Senzo was just too tragic, and it’s even more said to think that his killers are still out there. And of course, those who witnessed that tragic event will need help and support to process it.
