Yaya Toure leaving Manchester City
Yaya Toure is set to leave Manchester City in the summer. This is according to the midfielder’s controversial agent Dimitri Seluk. This is despite the midfielder still having a year remaining in his lucrative £220,000-a-week contract. According to the agent, offers are already on the table.
It seems there will be no reunion with his previous Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola. Guardiola is set to takeover at Manchester City in the summer. Toure was sold from Barcelona by the incoming City coach in July 2010 for £24m.
Seluk sad that City had promised a new contract for the 32 year old Ivorian but nothing is yet to materialize prompting the midfielder to seek a move away from the former English champions. Toure may opt to reunite with Roberto Mancini at inter Milan but the midfielder could also remain in the premier leagues as it is believed that Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are both interested in acquiring his services. The midfielder might also be tempted by a “big money” move to China though his agent says money is not a key factor in determining the player’s next move.
